Baked Stuffed Mushrooms

24 large mushrooms

1 clove garlic, minced

1/4 cup parsley, minced

1/4 cup Swiss cheese, grated

salt and pepper to taste

2 Tbs. onion minced

1/4 cup sherry

few drops of lemon juice

3 Tbs. butter

1/2 cup + 2 Tbs bread crumbs

Wash mushrooms and remove stems, leaving caps intact.  Sprinkle a few drops of lemon juice in caps; set aside.  Finely mince stems; saute in butter.  Combine cheese, 1/2 cup bread crumbs, salt and pepper.  Add parsley, garlic, and onion.  Add sherry.  When minced stems are brown, add to stuffing mixture and stir thoroughly.  Pile filling into mushroom caps.  Sprinkle with 2 Tbs bread crumbs and a dot of butter.  Bake 15 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
